Nativity Prep School Librarian, Nativity Preparatory School in Boston, (Boston, MA)

Nativity Preparatory School of Boston is seeking a part-time librarian to staff our small school library for a few hours 2-3 days a week. This is a flexible position with lots of opportunities to shape the role based on the interests of the successful candidate. We are pleased to be able to offer a stipend for this position. School library certification is not required. Current MLIS students are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities include:
● Circulation management – helping students check in and check out books for independent reading
● Collection development – selecting and weeding materials
● Assisting teachers with resources for student research projects
● Opportunities for programming – giving book talks, scheduling author visits, facilitating book clubs, etc.

Nativity Preparatory School is an accredited, tuition-free, Jesuit middle school serving about sixty boys of all faiths from low-income families residing in Boston. Staffed by experienced teachers and dedicated volunteers who work closely with families, the school prepares students for success in high school and college.
