Electronic Resources Coordinator, Carnegie for Endowment International Peace Library, Dupont Circle, Washington, DC

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States, seeks a full-time Electronic Resources Coordinator to join its Library staff. This position will report to the Library Director. 

Responsibilities will include managing book, journal and e-resource acquisitions; managing subscriptions for both print and online resources, including invoices and payments; maintaining Carnegie’s library intranet site; managing access (IP, passwords, SerialsSolutions) to e-resources for Carnegie researchers globally; keeping Libguides up to date; coordinates trials of new e-resources, troubleshooting electronic access problems as they arise; manage usage statistics, maintains e-resource management records to track vendor contracts and licensing subscriptions, collaborating closely with other library staff to anticipate and solve problems and to plan actions needed to ensure a high level of service to Carnegie researchers, and other duties as assigned. 

Ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of library experience and will be well organized, pay careful attention to detail, and have the ability and willingness to track and follow-up on tasks; possess familiarity with information resources relevant to Carnegie’s work; possess the ability to think creatively in providing research assistance; and have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Experience with Libguides, Excel, SIRSI EOS, EZ Proxy, OCLC Worldshare, Summon (ALMA OR EDS), and SerialsSolutions (360 Core) is a plus. An interest in outreach, archives, cataloging, and international affairs. MLS is preferred.
