Position Summary

The University of Maryland Libraries seeks two creative and service-oriented individuals to join our team of Teaching and Learning librarians who report to the Head of the Teaching and Learning Services Unit. The two new librarians will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in reimagining how to best support our users’ needs in a time of change. Come and grow with us!

The Teaching and Learning Librarians are responsible for three categories: 1) librarianship, 2) service and 3) scholarship and creativity. Librarianship includes supporting the Libraries information literacy program, serving as liaison to assigned academic units including, but not limited to the Academic Writing Program, and providing general reference and instructional assistance. Service includes a variety of work for the Libraries, University and profession, typically through service on committees beyond the assigned area of responsibility. Scholarship and creativity may come in several forms, but typically regarding subject specialization as it relates to undergraduate education.

Salary Range: $54,000-64,000
