Reference and Instruction Archivist – Mount Holyoke College, (South Hadley, MA)

Library, Information and Technology Services (LITS) at Mount Holyoke College seeks a diverse pool of applicants for the full-time position of Reference and Instruction Archivist. Reporting to the Head of Archives and Special Collections, this position offers the opportunity to join a department that is committed to developing user-centered and transformative approaches to archival work.

As a member of the ASC department, this person will provide instruction services and collaborate with faculty and other campus teaching staff to deliver creative and engaging learning opportunities that integrate primary sources and rare books in the curriculum. They will promote hands-on engagement with archival materials for students. They will manage reference services and develop and implement policies and procedures for reference services. The work of this position will include collaborations with the Research & Instructional Support department and other departments at LITS, Mount Holyoke College, and the Five Colleges. Each member of the ASC department actively promotes the commitment of the College and LITS to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility by developing and supporting diverse and inclusive collections.
