Resource Sharing Specialist III, Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA

As team leader for the daily operations of the Drexel University Libraries’ Resource Sharing program, the Specialist manages and coordinates workflows, quality control, training, and staff. The Resource Sharing program is responsible for providing convenient access to owned, licensed, and shared information resources through print and electronic document delivery and digitization-on-demand, in support of reserves, interlibrary loan, and resource sharing. The Specialist also oversees shipping and receiving for the libraries’ operations and oversees the integrity and order of the Drexel University Libraries’ collections of print books, journals and other physical resources.

Essential Functions
Coordinates daily operations of Resource Sharing (digitization, digital fulfillment, physical item requests and retrieval, shipping and receiving) at all Libraries’ locations.
Supervises and trains a team that includes five direct reports, matrixed non-exempt staff and student employees; coordinates projects and ensures defined workflows and procedures are implemented with appropriate staffing and resources; ensures client expectations of library services are met and surpassed; ensures service standards are implemented and quality control of operations is maintained; documents workflows and procedures including training materials; tracks statistics and provides reports
Coordinates daily operations of Reserves (digitization, streaming DVDs, physical and electronic item requests) at all Libraries’ locations.
Manages stacks in all Libraries’ locations, including all non-archival physical collections (books, journals, theses and dissertations, audiovisual media, etc.); oversees physical processing (spine labels, barcodes, security strips, stamps, etc.) and repair of collection materials, including preparation, shipment, and receiving of materials for binding

Required Qualifications
• Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent experience
• Experience working in an academic library setting
• Demonstrated supervisory experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
• Strong leadership skills and dedicated work ethic
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to work with relevant technologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines; ability to multi-task, as well as to accept and complete urgent new tasks
• Possess self-confidence, sound judgement, and is an independent, self-directed learner.
• Possess professional attitude, initiative, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic matrixed team environment
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and welcoming work environment in both physical and cyber space

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience maintaining print collections and supporting resource sharing workflows
• Experience using ExLibris Alma Library Services Platform, Atlas ILLiad & Ares, EZBorrow/ReShare, and LibGuides
• Project management experience
