Archival Information Specialist: This position will serve as the Client Service Lead and platform administrator of Boston University’s archival information management system (ArchivesSpace). As a member of the Libraries’ Digital Ventures team, the AIS coordinates the requirements of local archive managers at BU to prepare and deliver accurate descriptive metadata to the users of BU’s archival information services.
Digital Imaging Specialist and Lab Manager: This position will play a key role in increasing the digital presence and research viability of Boston University’s archival and special collections through the production and management of digital archival images. Reporting to the Head of Digital Ventures, this position is responsible for the implementation of imaging workflows, which include making consistent, informed, technical decisions regarding lighting set up, quality control, and file management.
Discovery Services Manager: This position is responsible for administration, configuration, and technical support of the Libraries’ discovery platforms and related integrations, especially for all library resources discoverable through BU Libraries Search and through relevant components in the integrated library system and discovery platform (Alma/Primo). Through ongoing collaboration with colleagues across library units that advance research and learning support in the libraries, this position evaluates and improves the search experience in response to user needs and usage reports and coordinates with BU colleagues working in digitization, digital collections management, and digital scholarship for configuring and maintaining web services and data integrations for repository and archival management platforms.
Library Systems Analyst: This position will ensure effective utilization of the core library systems and integrations to provide excellent digital services to the library’s user communities. Reporting to the Director for Library Technology and Discovery Services, this position provides technical support for the administration of BU’s integrated library system (Alma) as it is employed across functional areas of the Libraries. This position will serve as a principal contact with the library’s campus partners around systems integrations projects and service improvements, such as for authentication and user management.
