The University of Texas Libraries seeks a collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Digital Preservation Coordinator to develop and lead digital preservation activities for the Libraries. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills to operate independently in Linux command line environments; an understanding of data integrity, its importance, and the skills and practices that maintain it; and a desire to lead improvements to our digital preservation infrastructure and workflows.  

Reporting to the Head of Preservation & Digital Stewardship, this position provides technical expertise and performs operations supporting digital preservation workflows, including LTO (Linear Tape-Open) tape archive administration and distributed storage management; disk/server space administration; digital forensics software/hardware configuration and management; and support for processing of born-digital archival collections. The Digital Preservation Coordinator will collaborate closely with staff in the Preservation & Digital Stewardship unit, Libraries IT, and team members in our special collections and archives units.

Salary Range

$55,000 + depending on qualifications
