EDIBA Projects and Programs Manager, Harvard Library, Cambridge, MA

The Harvard Library Office for Antiracism seeks a collaborative community and colleague-centered team member to assist with EDIBA (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Antiracism) program development, management, and delivery. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Antiracism, the Projects and Programs Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing action-oriented programs and initiatives in support of Harvard Library’s antiracism strategy.

Position Description

  • Works closely with AUL for Antiracism and the Associate Director for EDIBA to develop, coordinate, communicate, and maintain program initiatives that are strategically aligned with Harvard Library’s Multi-Year Goals and Objectives that support our EDIBA Strategy.
  • Develops and oversees HL EDIBA events and programs calendar, ensuring coordination with other University offices and the University Heritage Calendar.
  • Working in consultation with the HL Communications Office, oversee and develop communications and marketing initiatives related to EDIBA programs.
  • Manages the administration of the EDIBA Council, including ensuring the scheduling of meetings, agenda development, and follow-up on action items.
  • Develops assessment protocols for evaluation of EDIBA programs and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborates with the HL assessment team in the identification of EDIBA related metrics and the creation of dashboards using Harvard Library’s assessment tools and practices.
  • Provides monthly progress updates on EDIBA related activities using Harvard Library’s tracking tools and practices.
  • Contributes to the creation of organizational and staff development tools and resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree preferred, preferably in Education, Communications, or relevant field Experience managing and delivering programs to broad and diverse populations
  • Strong Analytical skills and the ability to effectively organize and display data
  • Strong working knowledge of various Microsoft applications
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Attention to quality and detail
  • Experience working and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with event management and webinar planning
  • Strong project management and marketing/communications skills
  • Strong organizational and communications skills (oral and written), experience multi-tasking, delegating as needed and problem-solving

Working Conditions

  • The position will be based on our campus in Cambridge, MA., however there is the opportunity for a flexible or hybrid work model compliant with Harvard University remote work policies.
