Alaant is pleased to be partnering with CanCode Communities in its search for Trainers, Tutors or Adjunct Professors to teach current and future technical training programs. CanCode Communities’ mission is to shift the mindset about who can work in technology by creating pathways to join the tech economy. They do this by building a more inclusive and vibrant tech pipeline through inclusive instruction & programs, collaborating with educators and partnering with tech employers.

Responsibilities:
- Instruct and use hands-on exercises to teach technical/coding skills to non-traditional, adult and/or K-12 students in a virtual classroom setting
- Assist in development, based on your experience/knowledge, of new training courses and materials
- Collaborate with Can Code team and community members for planning and coordination of curriculum and course delivery
Qualifications:
- Your technical skills- ideally knowledge/hands-on experience with technologies such as HTML, CSS, Python, SQL, Cloud computing using Azure AWS, Automated Testing and/or Quality Assurance skills , or….
- Proficiency working with Google and Microsoft platforms and software, and/or…
- Experience with Scratch and other K-12 coding technologies
- Past tutoring/training experience (such as being a Tutor, Trainer or Adjunct Professor ) is helpful but not required- if you have a desire to help others and mentor “up and coming” techies this is the job for you!

- These are Full-Time OR Part-Time (permanent) opportunities
- Flexible Evening and/or daytime positions available
- Salary will be based on your experience- $20-30 per hour
