Outreach Librarian, Cobleigh Library, Lyndonville, Vermont

Description:

The Cobleigh Library in Lyndonville, Vermont is seeking a full-time Outreach Librarian. Position is for 32 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays and two evenings per week required. Position will include benefits, including sick time, vacation, and health insurance through the Town of Lyndon, and a starting salary of $17.00/hour, contingent upon qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities include:

·         Library programming for adults and teens/young adults

·         Community outreach coordination, including home delivery and volunteer coordination

·         Circulation desk duties as assigned

·         Managing library social media accounts (Facebook, Youtube) and website

·         Cataloguing

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of college and 2-3 years library experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Library and library-related experience, and/or social media management experience is preferred. Successful applicants must either hold or plan to receive the Vermont Certificate of Public Librarianship within 2 years of hire date.
