LEAD ARCHIVIST – New York, NY
The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Lead Archivist to supervise a team on a large-scale project at a university to prepare archival collections for transfer to an off-site storage facility. This full-time, salaried, contract position is located in New York, New York and will run from December 2021 through April 30, 2022. There is a possibility of contract extension beyond the initial project duration.
ASSISTANT ARCHIVIST – New York, NY
The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for three full-time Assistant Archivists to join a team on a large-scale project at a university to prepare archival collections for transfer to an off-site storage facility. This full-time, salaried contract position is located in New York, New York and will report to the Lead Archivist and run from December 2021 to April 30, 2022. There is a possibility of contract extension beyond the initial project duration.
ARCHIVES TECHNICIAN – New York, NY
The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for two full-time Archives Technicians to join a team on a large-scale project at a university to prepare archival collections for transfer to an off-site storage facility. This full-time, contract position is located in New York, New York and will run from January 2022 to April 30, 2022.
SENIOR ARCHIVIST – New York, NY
The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Archivist in New York City to help lead the Information & Archival Services (I&AS) division. We are seeking an entrepreneurial archivist with exceptional interpersonal skills who can work effectively in a wide variety of client settings (corporate, nonprofit, etc.), develop new business, and support our clients in realizing the full potential of their archival collections. As a member of the I&AS leadership team, the Senior Archivist will work with the Managing Director and another Senior Archivist to guide the division, support our colleagues, and provide high-quality archival consulting services.

LEAD ARCHIVIST – Detroit, MI
The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Lead Archivist to establish an archives program at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, a non-profit organization in Detroit, Michigan. This is a one-year contract and the archivist will work on-site at the client’s office. Anticipated start is early January 2022.
ARCHIVIST – MANUSCRIPT PROCESSING – New Haven, CT
The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for a full-time Processing Archivist to arrange and describe a large volume of manuscript materials as part of a team. This salaried, contract position is located in New Haven, Connecticut and will conclude September 30, 2023.
