Rhode Island College invites applications for the full-time position of Library Acquisitions and Collection Development Manager. This is a continuing 35 hours/week calendar year position.

The Library Acquisitions and Collection Development Manager oversees the Acquisitions and Collection Development Office in carrying out the responsibility for all library acquisitions including books, non-book materials, electronic resources and gifts.  It coordinates the placement of all orders for equipment and supplies according to College and state purchasing regulations.  It coordinates the Library’s acquisition of shelf-ready materials.  It oversees the Library’s use of the HELIN Consortium’s automated acquisitions module, including technical training of staff.  The position supervises, trains, and directs the activities of support staff.  It oversees the collection development of the circulating collection in conjunction with library liaisons and other library personnel.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday; 35 hours per week; regular college business hours.

Salary Range: $60,000-$64,000
