Liaison Librarian (Temporary), Tufts University, MA

Duties:

The temporary Liaison Librarian will teach meaningful, engaging instruction sessions, offer individual & small group research consultations, design & maintain instructional materials, and curate collections around their assigned departments. This position will provide regular virtual reference services, and may be asked to join ongoing projects or teams at Tisch Library. This role will be the liaison to Political Science & International Relations and may be asked to cover additional liaison departments in the humanities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s in Library or Information Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing subject liaison services (instruction, consultation, collection development) in an academic library or other public service environment.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment and workplace, ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse community and willingness to adopt the Tisch Library values of Community, Curiosity & Learning, Openness, and Social Justice.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a library liaison to political science, government, international relations or related fields or experience conducting research in those fields.
