Electronic Resource Specialist (Full-Time), University of Pittsburgh, PA

This is a regular full-time position in Technical Services in the Thomas Blvd. Building.
The hours of work are Monday-Friday; 8:30 am. to 5:00 pm. Incumbent is responsible
for identifying and resolving problems relating to electronic subscriptions and open
access resources. Incumbent collaborates with colleagues in Technical Services and
Information Systems in order to gather and maintain accurate data about these
electronic resources for the ULS libraries in the library management system (Alma, Ex
Libris). Incumbent monitors and loads bibliographic record files for materials in
electronic format. Candidates will be expected to recognize, respect, and work
effectively with individuals and groups with diverse perspectives and backgrounds in all
aspects of their work and take initiative in learning about issues relating to equity,
diversity, and inclusion. 

University education equivalency for related experience applies. Relevant library
experience, preferably in an academic setting preferred. Relevant library experience
may be substituted for the degree preferably in library technical services or any
equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the
requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job. Experience with an integrated library
system preferably Alma and a national bibliographic database such as OCLC is
desirable. Experience troubleshooting electronic resources desirable. Good
communication, organization and time management skills are essential.
