Description:

The Southwick Public Library seeks to fill the role of a Circulation Librarian. The position is an 18 hour per week union position paying $14.75/hourly. The Circulation Librarian performs all front desk duties at the library including checking items in and out, assisting patrons, processing new items, and shelving.

Schedule:

From after Labor Day through the end of June, the schedule is as follows:

Tuesdays 10-4, Wednesdays 1-4, Fridays 10-5, and Saturdays 10-1.

For July, August, and up until Labor Day the schedule is: Mondays 5-8, Tuesdays 10-4, Wednesday 1-4, and Fridays 10-5.

Qualifications

A high school diploma is required for the position, while a 2 year college degree, 2-4 years of library experience and a demonstrated interest in public service is preferred.
