Research & Instruction Librarian, Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA

The Research & Instruction Librarian will be an energetic, forward-thinking, and service-oriented individual who will work collaboratively on the Research Services team to support research, teaching, and learning at the College. The Research & Instruction Librarian’s work focuses on the broad areas of library research and information literacy instruction, faculty development, collection development, library outreach, and general support of faculty and student research. This work occurs on an increasingly diverse campus, which is deeply engaged in an anti-racism plan of action. This is a 12 month, full-time position.

Qualifications include

  • MLS from an ALA-accredited program, or other advanced degree plus related experience in libraries, archives, or other research or educational institutions 
  • Experience with library research support, information literacy instruction, and collection development 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to successfully work with a diverse range of faculty, staff, and students 
  • Ability to meaningfully contribute to the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) goals of the college and to its anti-racism plan of action
