The University of Texas Libraries seeks to support and to bolster research and teaching on the diverse histories, presents, and futures of the United States through a newly envisioned librarian: the US Studies Liaison Librarian. An entry level position, the US Studies Liaison will be responsible for all aspects of research, learning, and engagement lifecycles associated with the multidisciplinary and multicultural fields of inquiry related to the United States. The US Studies Liaison will directly support many departments, centers, and programs at the University of Texas including the Center for Asian American Studies, the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS) the Department of American Studies, the Native American and Indigenous Studies Program and the US-focused subset of the Department of History. The US Studies Liaison position reports to the Arts, Humanities, and Global Studies Engagement Team Lead; as an active member of that team, the US Studies Liaison will leverage knowledge of collections, research, evolving digital skills, and relationships to connect students and faculty with services, content, and tools that meet their research, teaching, and learning needs.
