Description:

York (ME) Public Library is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Reference Librarian. The winning candidate must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; be technologically savvy and detail-oriented; and able to perform all duties effectively. In addition to regular Reference work, this position requires supporting website maintenance and adult programming needs.

A Masters degree in Library and Information Science or MLIS degree candidate preferred. A combination of related work experience and education may be considered for the right candidate. Experience in Sierra library software and WordPress web development  is highly desirable. This position is for 25 hours per week. The schedule will include evenings, and weekends in rotation. Compensation is $17.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
