Warren Wilson College seeks applicants for a full-time, continuing Library faculty position in the Pew Learning Center & Ellison Library Division. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a comprehensive information literacy program and take primary responsibility for its delivery and assessment; coordinate the research support schedule and provide research support; and collaborate with fellow librarians in the strengthening and expansion of the library’s promotion of digital literacies within the College’s educational program. The position also includes responsibilities shared by all librarians, such as actively promoting the division’s programs and activities to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in our services, programming, and collections; populating the library’s digital repository with user-submitted content; and staffing the library during evenings and weekends. This is a full-time, continuing faculty position in an extended contract system.

The Pew Learning Center & Ellison Library (PLC), housing Ellison Library, the Writing Studio, a Sound Lab, a Creative Technologies Lab, a Media Lab, and the College Archives, serves as the intellectual crossroads of campus where a dedicated staff, a variety of learning spaces, and diverse physical and digital information resources facilitate learning, spark curiosity, and inspire discovery. The College’s values of social justice, sustainability, and diversity, equity, and inclusion are woven throughout the PLC’s services and operations and are reflected in the collections we curate.
