Adult Services Librarian (Part-time), Jaffrey Public Library, Jaffrey, NH

Description:

Join an award-winning team at the Jaffrey Public Library!

We have an exciting part-time opportunity for an Adult Services Librarian to join our team.  Do you LOVE technology?  Love helping and teaching others?  Are you bursting with ideas for in-person, hybrid, and online adult programming?  Is reader’s advisory your passion?  If you are a team player and love the interaction with people that called us all to librarianship, we have a place for you.

We are offering a part-time, 15 hour/week position, including one Saturday per month, for someone to focus on all the ways we serve adults.  While you will spend some time on a public service desk, the primary focus of this position is to perform professional library work related to adult reference and technology services, and design and implement adult programs to support lifelong learning and promote digital literacy and access to library services.  With or without a pandemic, we are looking for someone who is very comfortable with technology, not just to teach it, but to use it in creating robust programming models.

Because of the programming focus, this position requires a flexible schedule, but will include one Saturday per month in a supervisory capacity.  And because we have a very caring team, we are following strict Covid protocols so be sure that fits with your comfort zone.

This position requires either a Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited library school or current enrollment/ completion of graduate level coursework in library science from an ALA-accredited library school.

This is non-benefited position of 15 hours per week, with a rate of pay of $20/hour.
