Archivist, Town of Lincoln, Lincoln, MA

The Town of Lincoln is seeking a part-time, 13 hours per week Archivist who, under the Direction of both the Library Director and the Town Clerk, would be responsible for the daily operation of the Town Archives. 

Applicants should possess an ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) with specialization in Archival Management and should have knowledge of current archival descriptive practices and standards.  Experience in institutional or municipal records preferred. Excellent communication skills, self-motivation and judgment are essential, as is enthusiasm for history and public service and a willingness to learn the requirements of public records law.
