Adult Services Librarian and Technology Specialist, Kingston Community Library, Kingston, NH

The Kingston Community Library is looking for a self-starter to manage all aspects of a circulation desk and to support the circulation staff. We are looking an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and friendly professional
who will take the initiative to complete varied projects. This job entails many different tasks and skills.

The salary is $42,000-$45,500, depending on experience. This position includes full benefits.

  • Technology assistance to the public
  • Presenting technology subjects
  • Organizing and presenting adult programming

Develop creative solutions to technology challenges. Support and teach staff to utilize technology tools including Google calendar for program and meeting room scheduling. Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends. Utilize social media for outreach and to inform library users.

Patron Services:

Provides technology support and adult programming to the Kingston community via individual patron support, support of local organizations and the Town of Kingston, provides classes on recent and high-demand technology related topics. Introduces emerging technology and supports STEM activities for kids and adults.

Technology Services:

Guides the Library Director with development and maintenance of the library’s technology plan, recommendations for planning, acquiring, implementing and overseeing software, hardware and networking acquisitions, keeps up-to-date with the latest technology developments in the technology and library field, designs, develops and maintains the library website, and also provides tech support and training, via on demand and/or formal class settings, to staff and patrons alike.
