NELIG Winter Program: Virtual Instruction Swap

Description:

Is there a virtual/remote lesson idea you’ve wanted to teach and haven’t had the courage to try as yet? Now is your chance!

This year, the NELIG Winter Instruction Workshop & Swap will provide an opportunity for you to either “workshop” a new lesson or activity with your peers or to share a lesson you have already taught. Each presenter will teach a lesson or lead an activity they would deliver to a class. Note that you do not need to have taught this lesson in a class, however, the lesson should be complete. Sessions will run 1 hour, with time included for constructive criticism and positive feedback.

Please submit a proposal for the NELIG Winter Program. Each presenter will give a lesson as they would deliver it to a class.

Presentations cover: 1) Background information 2) Lesson planning 3) Learning outcomes 4) Assessment plans. Attendees will act as students in a class and will also provide feedback to the presenters.

Please complete this form by Friday, November 20th, 2020.  Acceptance notifications will be sent on Monday, November 30th, 2020.  Presentations are December, 7th 20209AM – Noon.
