Description:

The Millicent Library is looking for a full-time Youth Services Librarian.

Requirements:

• Master of Library Science degree or working toward MLS degree preferred.  Equivalent may be decided by the Library Director and/or Board.
• Experience in children’s and/or young adult public library services preferred. Must enjoy working with people of all ages.
• Should be comfortable with standard computer programs and automated library system. 

Duties:

• Collection development, programs, schools liaison, grant-writing, fundraising, and all library services for children and teens.  
• Knowledge of and experience at producing online story times and other online programming.  
• May maintain Library’s social media.  
• Some adult reference and circulation work will be required.

Salary:

Start at $20-$23 per hour depending on qualifications. Benefited position. The library is a 501c3 nonprofit that is the public library for the Town of Fairhaven. 37 hours/week, must be able to work Saturdays. Evenings may be required.
