Collaborations and Research Analyst and a Surveys Analyst, Ithaka S+R, New York, NY

Description:

Are you passionate about higher education and the arts? Our work helps these organizations and their support providers—including libraries, publishers, scholarly societies, and museums— enhance scholarship, instruction, community engagement, and student success. Ithaka S+R is hiring for two new positions that will work on some of our most exciting research and advisory projects.

Both roles will work collaboratively on research projects that lead to publications including grant-funded research and large-scale national projects across the higher education and cultural sectors. You will also work on projects for individual colleges, universities, and other academic and cultural organizations.

Help us spread the word about these positions, and we hope you will consider applying yourself.

Analyst, Collaborations and Research

The S+R Collaborations and Research team specializes in creating large-scale collaborative projects to understand how teaching, learning and research practices are evolving, including the needs of underrepresented and under-resourced academic communities from a social justice perspective.

In this role you will contribute to our growing work on improving access to higher education for those who are justice involved, which focuses on the information, technology, and structural support needs of students who are currently or formerly incarcerated, and the programs that serve them. You will assist in conducting mixed methods research with a strong emphasis on qualitative inquiry and in steering collaborations with our community partners.

We strongly encourage applications from people who have been impacted by the criminal-justice system. The full job description and application is available here and if you have any questions regarding this opening, please contact Danielle Cooper at [email protected]

Analyst, Surveys

As a Senior Analyst with an emphasis on surveys and quantitative research, you will conduct research on student and scholar needs, academic support services, and organizational strategy, leadership, and talent issues.

Responsibilities of this role include designing and administering institutional and large-scale surveys, analyzing quantitative and qualitative datasets, drafting reports and presentations, appending and cleaning datasets, and conducting desk research, with significant responsibility for high-quality, on-time completion. Upcoming projects include national demographic surveys of academic and cultural communities, market research studies with scholarly communication providers, and talent management audit services.
