The Bacon Free Library in Natick, Massachusetts is looking for a volunteer or intern to take on the role of Public Relations Manager for the library. This is an unpaid, part-time position (expenses reimbursed).

The manager would have responsibility for:

• Keeping abreast of successful strategies in the field: the innovative use of conventional and digital media.
• Conducting periodic audits of the library’s outreach and communication efforts.
• Developing strategic partnerships.
• Developing and maintaining a list of people, organizations, companies, or groups who might have a shared interest with the library and might be willing to support its activities.
• Helping to coordinate the activities of the library staff and board of trustees related to public relations.
• The Public Relations Manager would report to the director of the library and would interact frequently with the library board of trustees.
