Presales – Sales Consultant, Refinitiv, Boston, MA

Job Summary:

The Sales Consultant role works with the regional Sales Directors to support all aspects of the sales engagement for Refinitiv’s Connected Risk and related products. This will include activities such as needs analysis calls (discovery calls), filling out RFPs, product presentations, integration demonstrations, technical deep dives, follow-up calls, one-off demonstrations with the intent to educate, and work with Professional Services to create the “complete solution”during the pre-sales process.  They will have a proven track record of solving complex problems, answer prospects’ and team members’ detailed product questions, prepare and perform detailed product demonstrations. This individual
will support sales on a global basis and report the Global Pre-Sales Manager.


Job responsibilities include:


• Works with sales lead to perform extensive needs analysis/discovery in preparation for product demonstrations.
• Interacts with prospective customers to provide insight and build trusted relationships throughout the sales cycle.
• Provides standard and configured product demonstrations to address customer specific requirements.
• Assists sales managers in preparation RFP/RFI responses and development of formal proposals.
• Works with Partner Manager to evaluate and prototype potential 3 rd -party technology integrations.
• Maintains and continually upgrades technical understanding of products.
• Provides technical leadership and ensures technical issues are resolved pre and post sales.
• Works with Product Management to enhance solution offering and provide feedback and direction from the field.
• Works closely with Professional Services to sales and develop detailed Statements of Work.
• Travels within assigned territory as required to support sales engagements, trade shows and other customer
engagements.


Qualifications
:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science or computer science preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Pre-sales experience preferred but not required.
• Business Analytics and Machine Learning experience preferred
• Java and Java Script and HTML development skills preferred
Special skills and knowledge requirements:
• Demonstrated ability to present technical concepts in clear manner to customers through demonstrations and
proposals
• Excellent professional writing and editing skills are required
• Comfortable working and presenting in both remote and face-to-face settings.
