Description:

Goal of the position is to make high-quality health information on COVID-19 and Chagas disease accessible to high-risk immigrant populations in English and Spanish, and possibly other languages at a later time. The hours are flexible part-time. Pay is commensurate with graduate level, according to National Institutes of Health payscales.

Duties:

• Edit video scripts for short (~1 minute) videos in simple language addressing specific questions of importance to at-risk populations.
• Record and process videos.
• Create and edit quiz questions based on video scripts.
• Upload material to appropriate sites (youtube, specific websites).

Qualifications:

• Student in Library Science, Education, Communication or related field. Graduates in these fields also welcome.
• Bilingual/bicultural Spanish/Latin American preferred.

Learning Oppurtunities:

• Video editing software.
• Ability to reach low-literacy communities with high-quality information.
• Feedback on usefulness and accessibility from communities reached with educational material, and incorporation of feedback into improved updated version of videos.
