Are you creative, energetic, warm and enthusiastic? The Reading (MA) Public Library has an opening for a full-time Children’s Librarian. This professional librarian will join our team and be responsible for providing high quality library programs and services for library users aged birth through grade 5 and their families, as well as supporting teachers, caregivers and other early learning professionals. The schedule will include one evening and a Saturday rotation. Come join us and help serve our very active, family-oriented community!
This is a full-time position. Expected Hiring Range: $27.93 – $29.64 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject and a Master’s Degree in Library Science; and
- One to two years of professional library experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, with additional work experience substituting for the required education on a year for year basis.
