Call for Applications: The WW Graduate School Scholarships and Grants

The WW Graduate School looks for the best and brightest STEM graduates and professionals to enter the teaching profession. Graduates earn an M.Ed. and are recommended for teacher licensure. You’ll be placed in a real classroom while you complete coursework personalized to what you know and can do. We are still accepting applications for fall 2020 with fully-funded fellowships available. Admission will be granted on a space-available basis.
Tuition
The Graduate School has a flat fee for completion of the program, rather than the tuition for only a semester or academic year, as you would find at other institutions. Tuition for the 2020 class has been set at $27,000.
Trustee Fellowship
To make teacher preparation more equitable, the WW Graduate School is offering a number of fully-funded fellowship for highly qualified teacher candidates enrolling in the 2020 class. The Trustee Fellowship covers the entire program tuition cost. 2020 teacher candidates will only be responsible for the $600 technology free. All applicants will be considered for the merit-based award upon the submission of a completed WW Grad School application.
Financial Aid
Master’s candidates at the WW Graduate School do not qualify for federal student loans, but financial assistance is available for Graduate School students. All students applying for scholarship support from the Graduate School need to submit the College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile application. The CSS Profile is processed by the College Board, which charges a fee for the Profile application. For more information, see the College Board’s CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE website.
Instructions for U.S. citizens and permanent residents:
- Apply online on the College Board’s website using the WW Graduate School’s CSS Code: 7245.
- The Graduate School receives your profile data electronically from CSS, so do not send copies of your application to the Graduate School.
Deadlines for financial aid applications are December 6 for early action and March 2 for regular decision for fall 2020 admission.
Admissions Scholarships & Grants
The Woodrow Wilson Graduate School of Teaching and Learning offers both merit and need-based scholarships and grants. Students planning to apply for need-based grant are required to complete the CSS Profile per the instructions above.
WW Graduate School Opportunity Grant: This is a need-based grant and is awarded based on the student’s demonstrated financial need after all other forms of financial aid have been applied against the cost of tuition. The Opportunity Grant varies in amount depending on the student’s demonstrated need. Students wishing to apply must complete the CSS Profile.
WW Graduate School Educator Scholarship – $5,000: All students who apply by one of the stated priority deadlines will be considered for a WW Graduate School Educator Scholarship of $5,000 applied against the cost of tuition. The student’s academic record and application credentials are considered when determining a student’s eligibility for this scholarship. Students are notified of their eligibility for this scholarship at the time of acceptance.
WW Graduate School Partner Grant – $7,500: Students who have worked for one of the following organizations are eligible for this grant, which is applied against the cost of tuition.

WW Graduate School Trustee’s Scholarship – $8,500: Students may apply for this scholarship by submitting a short essay to [email protected] after submitting the application. The essay must explore how the student plans to impact the future of education and should be no longer than 500 words. The value of this scholarship is $8,500 applied against the cost of tuition. Students are notified of their eligibility for this scholarship at the time of acceptance.
Students are eligible for multiple scholarship and grant awards.
