Looking for a graphic/UI designer at an early stage start-up (unpaid)
ChickPaws is seeking a part-time graphic & UI designer to work alongside the Founder & CEO to design the company’s MVP for user testing (conceptualization to delivery). Key responsibilities include designing the site experience using our existing wireframes, as well as helping develop the company brand. This is a volunteer opportunity, with the possibility to turn into a paid position or summer internship.
What is ChickPaws?
Chickpaws is a trusted platform that allows pet users to find & interact with providers in one place (e.g., dog walker, groomer, vet, human-grade food companies).
Responsibilities include:
- Design website from existing wireframes
- Design logo (for use in website, marketing & investor relation materials)
- Design company mascot
- Send out progress reports (1-2 times per week)
- Schedule & lead weekly creative review meeting

What is the time commitment and expected timeline?
We’re looking for someone to start ASAP. Please apply by Friday April 24th. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The ideal candidate will commit 10-15 hours a week for 2-3 months.
What skill set do I need?
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite ( Figma or InvisionApp work as well)
- Keen eye for modern, clean aesthetics
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
- Organized and collaborative
- Responds to communications in a timely manner

Can I use my deliverables as part of my portfolio?
Yes! We’d be happy to let you showcase your work for ChickPaws as part of your design portfolio or as part of a school project with approval from the company and your educational institution. Please note that all work you complete in this role is owned by ChickPaws.
