Clinical Data Analyst, Karyopharm Therapeutics, Newton, MA

The Clinical Data Analyst will report to the Associate Director, Data Analysis. This position is responsible for key medical data that drives the decisions of Medical Directors. The Clinical Data Analyst serves as the first-line review of data entered in trackers, presents queries where needed, and serves as the point person for Medical and Executive team inquiries on the trackers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Clinical Project Managers and Medical team on set-up and maintenance of study trackers in Smartsheet

  • Accurate entry of relevant data from Electronic Data Capture system (EDC) to trackers

  • Administer data queries for lab results outside of normal ranges

  • Daily summary reporting to Medical team on patient progression

  • Retrieve data from EDC for entry and producing reports for Program Management

  • Assist in compiling patient specific clinical trial metrics as requested

  • Attend and record meeting minutes to weekly patient development meetings with executive, clinical, and medical teams

  • Serve as Super User for elluminate clinical trial software maintaining and updating data reports

  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with 0-2 years of experience in science

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office required

  • Flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, plus ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually

  • Desire to learn about drug discovery and data in practice 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Smartsheet platform

  • Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with a scripting language (Python, R)
