Knowledge Management (KM) Content Assistant, Ropes & Gray LLP, Boston, MA

The KM Content Assistant plays an important role as a member of the KM Content Management and Support team who manage and support the firm’s internal knowledge management websites. The KM Content Assistant will assist the team by performing tasks and other support needs related to the ongoing maintenance and administrative functions supporting the firm’s intranet, extranet and client portal sites. The KM Content Assistant contributes to the overall success and efficiency of the team.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in monitoring and organizing the team mailboxes and IQTrack ticket queues. Appropriately forwards requests, incident tickets and other issues according to established guidelines.

  • Assists with the posting of content, updating of lists and making other changes to sites as assigned by the KM Content Management and Support team.

  • Assists with regular testing of certain sites and tools to ensure that they are functioning properly.

  • Ensures that work meets QA standards for completeness and correctness.

  • Adheres to standards established by KM Content Management and Support team in the use of SharePoint toolkits, policies and procedures.

  • Participates in staff and other meetings as required.

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-office environment.

  • Proficient with MS Office 2007 applications and Windows Explorer (OS)

  • SharePoint skills a plus

 

Education, Experience Required:

  • An undergraduate degree

  • Experience in a process driven environment

  • 0-3 years work experience

  • A law firm background or demonstrated interest in legal services and information management is desirable.

 

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. Incumbent is expected to work the agreed upon hours to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
