Branch Library Assistant, Concord Free Library, Concord MA

Dynamic opportunity to assist patrons in using all collections & services at the Fowler Branch. Requires equiv to two years college, 1 – 3 years experience, attention to detail, great customer service & communications skills. Starting salary: $18.89 – $22.71/hour DOQ.

Duties include constant customer contact at busy circulation desk using RFID & other technologies; use of automated library systems to register patrons, process requests/items according to defined procedures; preparing and shelving books and other materials: maintaining shelf order; clearing and straightening up library areas. The Branch Library Assistant also coordinates programming & oversees Library Pages and volunteers. Both schedules include one evening and some Saturdays.
